We're all about the soups & chilis this time of year. If we can throw it in the Instant Pot, even better
So good, I've made it twice this week. Even my picky eating fiance loved it! 365 Days of Crockpot kills it with this simple, but delicious and comforting meal. I didn't have tomato paste on hand, but it came out just as good. We might try this with sausage next time!
This recipe from The Salty Marshmallow is one of the best I’ve tried in a long time, and so, so easy. Even my picky-eating fiancé loves it. All you need is ground beef or ground turkey (we used 93% lean ground turkey), peppers (obv), salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, beef broth, tomato sauce, and rice (we used wild rice). We added a little cumin, onion, and diced tomatoes too, and then sprinkled some cheddar cheese on top once finished, and it made enough for us to have it for lunch for almost the whole week. We’ll definitely be adding this in to our regular rotation! Thinking of trying it with sausage next time.
By far, this has to be my favorite chili recipe that I have ever tasted! Previously, I have tried a number of different recipes - white bean chili, turkey chili, spicy chili, etc. However, this recipe was simple, easy and delicious. The recipe calls for fire roasted tomatoes and chilis; personally, I believe that this made the difference. The taste of the chili (mixed in with smoked paprika and a small amount of bacon grease), was smokey, charred and enhanced version of anything I’ve tasted before. I have made this recipe at least 4 times since discovering it. Twice for just my boyfriend and I. Twice for parties - where we doubled the recipe. We always have toppings (such as jalapenos, shredded cheddar, sour cream and bacon bits), on the side for our guests to individualize their bowls. Next time I make this, I will try ground turkey instead. Thank you, Sugar Spun Run, for this amazing recipe!
Anyone that knows me, knows that I love two things when cooking/ eating: Garlic & Hummus. So, when I came across this recipe from Fit Foodie Finds, I HAD to try it. And as expected - it did not disappoint. Homemade hummus is so simple and makes for such a healthy snack for any occasion. I have brought out this recipe for friend get-togethers and as part of my meal prep for my work-week lunches. I recommend this recipe to anyone that wants to give making hummus a try!
Skinnytaste has us HOOKED on this lighter version of our fave sandwich. We used turkey bacon and also threw in some chicken and other raw veggies we had in the fridge to make it a somewhat healthy, filling dinner. Plus, it’s super easy - the recipe only calls for five ingredients!
